Hassan Makki, DO
Dr. Makki was born in Beirut, Lebanon. In 1985, he and his family migrated to the United States in pursuit of the American dream. He completed his BS in Biochemistry at the University of Michigan. He then participated in clinical research with Henry Ford Hospital of Detroit. He graduated medical school with Honors from A.T. Still University, Missouri. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency and Cardiology Fellowship at Garden City Hospital, an affiliate of the Michigan State Statewide Campus System.
Dr. Makki is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and in General Cardiology and Board eligible in Nuclear Medicine and Adult Echocardiography. He passionately believes in patient advocacy and treatment in an evidence based approach. While he advocates a holistic and preventative approach to cardiology, he is highly trained in invasive cardiovascular procedures such as diagnostic heart catheterization, pacemaker/ICD Implantation and transesophageal echocardiography.
Dr. Makki came to Arizona with his family in 2010 to join Sonoran Heart in serving the Phoenix Valley communities. He is fluent in English, Arabic, French and is studying Spanish. His interests include golf, running, weight training, and martial arts.
