Alan J. Dessen, MD
Dr. Dessen was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
He completed his internship and internal medicine residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. After serving two years in the US Air Force, both in Vietnam and Denver, Colorado, Dr. Dessen trained in Cardiology at Maricopa Medical Center in Phoenix, AZ, entering private practice in 1978.
Dr. Dessen is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He has been Chief of Medicine at Maryvale Hospital for the past several years.
